We built our home starting in the fall of 2009 and completing in May 2010. There was more rain during those months than we had ever remembered there being in Georgia. We thought for sure we wouldn't meet our deadline of May to be in our house, but Phil made it happen. He and his crew worked harder than any group of builders that I've heard of from others that built a home. I have heard horror stories about the stress and almost painful experiences of building a new home, but that was not the case for us. Building with Phil was the most stress-free and positive experience that we could've hoped for. Any concerns, questions, adjustments, etc. that we had or needed to make were never met with anything but an "Okay, let's get that taken care of" attitude. Phil works with some of the best and most talented sub contractors. We couldn't be more thrilled with the beautiful home that we live in and get to look at everyday. If we built ten more houses, Phil would be our builder ten more times!
On February 10th, 2014, I bought a home without my wife seeing it as she was still living in LA. I was a bit nervous, for obvious reasons and because the home was in bad shape. There were holes in the walls, no light fixtures, carpet was worn out, wood floors were rough, bad paint and an unfinished basement highlighted a few of it's flaws.
I contacted JP Nichols Custom Homes and met with the owner, Phil Nichols. We walked through the house and he made suggestions on design and how to get everything fixed.
On March 14th, we moved into our home and it was like brand new construction. Phil had handled everything from top to bottom; the dry-wall, plumbing, paint, audio, electrical, carpet, deck work, trim, landscaping, cabinetry and so many other things that needed to be done. We didn't have to think or worry about one bit of the house. We knew Phil had it under control.
We finished right on budget and on time. All Phil's employees who worked on our house were true professionals; courteous, polite, helpful, and on time.
Phil is so easy to work with. There isn't any need to look around for another builder. Phil is easily the best. He can handle any job. He did such an amazing job on our home. The quality surpassed our wildest expectations. Truly, first class work by a first class company. We would recommend JP Nichols Custom Homes to everyone!
We moved into our new home in October 2014. This was our first time building a house, and going through the process with Phil Nichols at the helm was definitely a positive experience. From our very first meeting with him, we were confident we wanted him to build our home. We were struck at once by Phil's attention and focus to detail. Because of this, and his emphasis on high quality work and materials, we have a home we both love and are proud of. It's been a few months, and we love coming home!
Phil and his sub contractors were a pleasure to work with and understood what we wanted. They were responsive to our questions and requests, and listened attentively to us throughout the building process. They made us feel like we were their only clients. Phil also wasn't afraid to voice his opinion so that we weren't led astray when it came to decisions we needed to make quickly. He was quick, proactive and honest, which is exactly what a client needs when building a house.
We had the added difficulty of going through most of the building experience from long distance. But even with that, Phil helped lead us through every decision, and was always on hand whenever we had a question. When we step back now and look at all of the fine, high-quality details and features of our new home, we are so pleased and thankful we decided to build with Phil, and would highly recommend him to anyone looking to build a custom, high quality home you can love.
This is the second project that Phil Nichols has done for us. We chose Phil for a couple of big reasons. Phil has a keen eye for detail. His experience and expertise has given him a unique ability to know what will look best and he uses that to guide his clients in their decision process.
We made several changes due to Phil’s recommendations that are now some of our favorite elements in our project. You can also feel that Phil ALWAYS has your best interest at heart.
He is consistently on site and available to make sure that you are happy with the product. Phil genuinely listens to his clients desires for the use and style of the space, while simultaneously making sure it flows with the rest of the home. It has been our pleasure to have JPN Pools make our backyard dreams come true!

In these hot days of summer, we are really enjoying our pool built by JPN Custom Pools.
We are very pleased with this project. Of course there were some hiccups along the way, as there is with any construction, but they were handled promptly and professionally. The price we were quoted included all the upgrades so there were no additional charges and Phil even threw in some features he thought we would like at no additional cost.
Phil stayed with this project until it was perfect. Any issues or questions we have had come up, he has responded immediately. When I am checking references on contractors, the main question I have is, would you hire them again. As for JPN Custom Pools we would definitely hire them again and wouldn’t even bother with getting a second quote.
